Circular Saw Blades
Cut Type Rip Cut - Blades with a small number of teeth are known as "Rip Cut" Blades. Theses give a fast but coarse cut, and are used for cutting quickly along the grain of the wood. Rip/Cross Cut - Sometimes referred to as "combination cut", these blades have an intermediate number of teeth to allow cutting along or across the grain of the wood whilst giving a smother finish than the rip blades. Cross Cut - Blades with a high number of teeth are referred to as "Cross Cut" blades. These give a clean cut, even when working across the grain.
Other Features Laser Cut - Addax laser cut saw blades are made from top quality Japanese 46hRC steel. The blanks are laser cut to reduce distortion and produce a truer cut. Anti Friction Coating - The Masterflon anti-friction coating reduces drag during the cut, as well as the build up of unwanted tar and sap on the blade. Expansion Slots - The Fish Hook design expansion slots are precision laser cut and help to prevent the blade buckling due to heat expansion. Copper Inserts - Fitted to the aluminium/laminate cutting blades, these help to dissipate heat and reduce the risk of the blade warping Large Carbide - The large carbide tips fitted to the laser cut saw blades enable the user to re-sharpen the blade many times, maximizing the life of the blade.
